Chances the movie

A hairdresser's plans to see the Kaiser Chiefs are thwarted... or are they?

Carlotta, the recent owner of a hairdressing salon, is extremely strapped for cash when she remembers that the Kaiser Chiefs are playing in a concert.  She schemes with her assistant, Jeff, to bring in any customers possible so she can scrape the cash together to buy tickets.

Her plan is going well when a customer asks for the impossible - to comb out her dreadlocks.  Jeff is suspicious, but many hard hours later Carlotta sees the money in sight - until the customer runs out without paying!

Carlotta is distraught, but Jeff catches her to bring her back and face the music...  but Carlotta decides not to prosecute - it would take too long for the money to come in anyway.

She lets the customer go.

Her enthusiasm for life diminished, Carlotta returns to work.  Two weeks later, the customer returns to the salon, this time dressed in work clothing.  She explains that she had to go on the street to avoid being beaten by her husband.  Getting a new job - and the haircut for the interview - was her last bid for freedom.

And best of all, she now works for a magazine company which interviews bands - including the Kaiser Chiefs!

Carlotta's faith in humanity is restored as the customer, Ruby, hands over two tickets to the Kaiser Chiefs concert.
